Reservation and Accommodation

1. How do I book an accommodation ?

2. How many accommodation do you have?

We have 2 accommodations :

  • 1 air-conditioned room with one double bed, one single bed, and the option to add an extra single mattress (without bed frame) if needed. It is equipped with sheets, pillowcases, cushions, towels, fleece blankets, bedside lamps for each bed and secure lockers with padlocks)

  • 1 dormitory with 3 single beds with fitted sheets, pillowcases, blankets, cushions and lockable lockers.

3. Is the dormitory mixed or single-gender?

We only offer a mixed dormitory.

4. Are children allowed?

For the private room :

  • Children are allowed in the air-conditioned room. However, we do not provide a baby cot.

For the dormitory :

  • To respect other travelers, the dormitory is reserved exclusively for adults.

  • However, exceptions can be made for special groups (adults + children) if you book the entire dormitory.

4.5 What is the price for children?
There is no extra charge for children under 4 years old.

From 4 to 12 years old, the rate is half price.

From 13 years old, the adult rate applies.

5. Is the tap water drinkable on Rangiroa?
No, tap and shower water are not drinkable. Rangiroa is a coral island with no natural water sources; we collect rainwater for kitchen and sanitary use.
A bottle of drinking water is available in the dormitory kitchen.

6. Is there air conditioning?
Yes, air conditioning is provided in the private room.

No, there is no air conditioning for the dorm, only a fan.

7. Is there hot water in the showers?
To support eco-responsible practices and reduce our carbon footprint, there is no hot water in the showers. However, air conditioning is available throughout your stay.

Arrival and Departure

1. What time is check-in?
Check-in is at 2 PM. If the accommodation is ready and available earlier, we may allow early check-in at no extra cost, subject to prior written agreement.

2. What time is check-out?
Check-out is before 10 AM.

3. Can I arrive late at night?
Yes, but please inform us at least 48 hours before check-in to arrange transfers.

Rates and Payments

1. What are your rates?
Prices vary depending on the season. You can check rates on the “Book Now” section of our website.

2. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash (only XPF) and bank transfers.
There is only one ATM on Rangiroa, located at the airport. We recommend withdrawing cash at Tahiti airport.

3. Are there any hidden fees (tourist tax, cleaning fees, etc.)?

  • There is a tourist tax of 60 XPF/night/person payable directly on site.

  • Airport round-trip transfer with taxi Lucien :

    • Day : Is 1200 XPF per person

    • Night from 6pm : Is 2000 XPF per person

    • The transfer is payable directly to the taxi driver in cash

4. Are discounts offered for long stays?
Long Stay Offer:

From the 5th night onward, enjoy 10% off all following nights!
The longer you stay, the more you save ✨

5. Can we book the entire dormitory?

Yes, it is possible to privatize the dormitory for 15000 XPF per night.

Services Offered

1. Is breakfast included?

No, we do not provide breakfast nor dinner.

2. Is there a kitchen available?
Yes, there is a shared kitchen with utensils for preparing your meals.

3. Do you offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available free of charge.

4. Is there a laundry service?
Yes we have on-site laundry.

Please notify us 24 hours before so we have time to wash, dry and fold your laundry.

The laundry is 1000 XPF per bag.

5. Is there a common area or lounge?
Yes, we have an outdoor patio with two hammocks, a lounge area, and two high tables with chairs.

6. Can you organize activities?
Yes, we can organize activities like boat excursions, snorkeling in Tiputa Pass, pearl farm visits, and Va’a (canoe) rides.
We do not organize scuba diving; please book directly with dive centers.

7. What activities are available in Rangiroa?
Activities :

  • Scuba diving (6 dive centers mainly in Ohotu)

  • Full-day boat excursions

  • Snorkeling in Tiputa Pass

  • Fishing (with or without a guide)

  • Cycling tours

  • Watching dolphins jump in Tiputa Pass from the Dolphin City

  • Pearl farm visits

  • Wine cellar tours and tastings

Location and Transport

1. Where is the guesthouse located?
The guesthouse is in French Polynesia on Rangiroa Island, Avatoru, near Ohotu.

Only at 5min from the Tiputa pass.

2. How do I get from the airport or port?

We work with a local taxi. Payment is made directly to the taxi driver.

The day one way transfer costs 600 XPF per person.

The night one way transfer costs 1000 XPF per person.

3. Is parking available?
There is no formal parking, but you can park in the courtyard.

4. Is there public transport nearby?
There is no public road transport, taxis cost 600 XPF one way.
There is a boat shuttle to Tiputa Pass for 600 XPF one way.

Safety and Comfort

1. Is the guesthouse secure?
You can rest easy here. The guesthouse is safe and quiet. Access is controlled, and individual lockers are available for valuables.
Our team ensures everyone feels safe and welcome at all times.

2. Is there a curfew?
No curfew, but please respect other guests and keep noise to a minimum after 10 PM.

3. Are pets allowed?
No pets allowed.
Please do not let dogs or cats enter the dormitory, the room or kitchen.

Cancellation Policy

1. What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel free of charge up to 16 days before arrival.
The 50% deposit paid at booking is non-refundable, regardless of cancellation date.
For cancellations less than 16 days before arrival or no-shows, 100% of the total stay will be charged.

2. Can I modify my booking after confirmation?
Yes, but you must inform us at least 16 days before your arrival date.

Climate and Weather in Rangiroa

1. Is it hot in Rangiroa?
Rangiroa is a tropical island with constant warmth.
The hottest period is from February to June.

2. Does it rain often on the island?
No, rain is infrequent, which is why water is very precious here.
However, we recommend bringing a raincoat and umbrella for rainy days.
The rainy season runs from July to September & December to January.
